The BenQ
ZOWIE XL2411 test is here. This is one of the most popular 144Hz monitors
in gaming. This is also the "successor" of the BenQXL2411Z. The specifications between the two are identical. Only the
"ZOWIE" brand was added. This comes from the eSports
scene. In our opinion, it was merely a strategic renaming for marketing
purposes.
We have
compiled some useful information about the BenQ ZOWIE XL2411.
General
basic data
This
BenQ model is equipped with a 24 inch Full HD ( 1920
x 1080 ) 3D gaming display. We feel the 24 inches in any
case sufficient, since we ourselves exactly the BenQ ZOWIE
XL2411 two times on our desk have. Not infrequently, one or two
27-inch monitors are much too large for the desk and thus take away too much
space. This is, of course, our subjective opinion!
Features
Let's
take a look at the general features in our BenQ ZOWIE XL2411 test. Here is
a small listing, which gives you a small overview:
Low Blue
Light
Flicker-free
technology
Individually
adjustable refresh rate ergonomics
Motion
Blur Reduction
Presets,
configurations, and downloads
Black
eQualizer
Low Blue
Light
Often it
happens, especially in long Zockersessions, that our eyes burn, we get
tired or even get headaches . The most common cause is
the blue light of the screen. With the Low Blue Light
technology, the BenQ company allows us to customize and regulate. This
allows us not only that we can sit at the computer for longer
but protects, at the same time our eyes to sleep or prevent eye
damage. The 144Hz monitor scores in the BenQ ZOWIE XL2411 test!
Flicker-free
technology
BenQ has
worked perfectly with professional CS-Go gamers gaming
screen perfectly matched so that almost no
flickering occurs. This not only enhances the image and makes it look
smoother, but also prevents fatigue after several hours of gambling.
Individually
adjustable refresh rate
Like
most BenQ gaming monitors, the ZOWIE XL2411 also has a customizable
refresh
rate between 60, 100, 120 and 144Hz. We
think, however, that the 144 hertz will be the most chosen setting.
Ergonomics
Like its
predecessors and descendants, this BenQ Gaming Monitor brings a
super foot , which allows for many individual
adjustments . Among other things, the ZOWIE XL2411 can be
steplessly adjusted, tilted from -5 ° to + 20 °, rotated from -45 ° to +
45 ° and even rotated from horizontal to vertical .
It also
has a standardized device for a VESA (Video Electronics Standards
Association) wall mount.
Motion
Blur Reduction
With
the Motion Blur Reduction technology, the BenQ Gaming Monitor
provides a streak-free image even in fast, action-packed
FPS games , where every millisecond counts . As a
result, gamers no longer suffer from poor image
quality due to lagging and motion blur . We are
excited about the BenQ ZOWIE XL2411 test! The 1Ms reaction time often
brings you a decisive advantage .
Presets,
configurations, and downloads
In
the official download page of BenQ you have the possibility
to download one or more presets / settings of professional
players or the manufacturer. Furthermore, you will also find the
latest firmware, documentation and more.
Black
eQualizer
The
Black eQualizer from BenQ ensures an automatic brightening of dark
scenes in the game. So you have the possibility (eg in
Shootern) to see your opponents also in dark areas better and
faster.
According
to the manufacturer / developer data, lightening of these dark scenes
should not cause overexposure to other parts of the
image. According to our BenQ ZOWIE XL2411 test, we can agree almost
completely. Although there is no over exposure, however, image is
generally quite bright. We had after some time to get used to it and then found
it pretty good. Nevertheless, it could not please everyone.
Conclusion
of the BenQ ZOWIE XL2411 test
The BenQZOWIE XL2411 Gaming Monitor looks chic and modern and offers
some ergonomic settings . The image quality is
pretty good and sharp. The screen brightness (luminance) is in our
opinion in any case in order, because these objects can be detected very easily
and quickly. The interface selection is definitely useful for a gaming
monitor because it supports HDMI, DVI-D and VGA. But we would have wanted
instead of the VGA port a DisplayPort.
On the
whole, this is a super gaming monitor, with which one gladly befriends and
with which one after the purchase long sessions
will spend. The many features, high refresh rate , low
response time and 3D support make up a lot of action games and
almost double the fun!
A small
criticism, which is still on our hearts, would be the missing G-Sync
support. Would it include this, it would be the perfect gaming monitor
with a very good price-performance ratio.
We hope
you got the added value with our BenQ ZOWIE XL2411 test!
